The United States enshrines freedom of religion and the separation of church and state. While we consider these to be standard rights in the western world, freedom of religion simply does not exist in many countries—particularly those ruled by Radical Muslims.
In countries such as Saudi Arabia and Iran non-Muslims are heavily persecuted. Kidnappings, beheadings, stonings and the like are common occurrences for citizens that don’t adhere to the Muslim faith.
In fact, it is also common for many Muslims who embrace western-style values to be persecuted by Radical Islamic groups.
