Many countries in Eastern Europe such as Turkey, Albania and others have long had Muslim majorities. Yet what is surprising many across Europe, is Muslim population growth in Western Europe.

Some experts already estimate France’s population at 12% Muslim and Switzerland at 20% Muslim. The latest statistics indicate that Western Europe is now home to over 50 million Muslims.

But many of these Muslims are not becoming part of a European melting pot. Many live in Islamic enclaves that seek to implement localized Sharia law. In France and Britain there already exist, what law enforcement officers term, “no-go zones”. These are areas where police cannot enter due to high security risks and where local and national courts hold no jurisdiction over Sharia courts.

German author, Henryk M. Broder describes the changing nature of the European landscape. In 2006 he claimed that, "Europe as we know it will no longer exist 20 years from now." He described how Europe is turning Muslim, and reverting backward in time. "We are watching the world of yesterday."

And along with Radical Islam comes violence. In 2007, the Daily Mail reported that a government aid learned that one in 11 British Muslims supports suicide bombers. With a population of 1.6 million Muslims living in the U.K., this means that approximately 144,000 British citizens support terrorism through suicide bombings.
