1/14/10 Feedback from the Father of a Terror Victim

Dear Clarion Fund Team:

I want to thank you and The Clarion Fund for the 5 sets of DVD’s of “Obsession” and of “The Third Jihad” which I received a couple of weeks ago.  The message they bear is chilling but one which must be disseminated as widely as possible.  To that end you may be assured that I have spread the word to many friends with whom I have e-mail correspondence and distributed the sets of films which you sent me to people who, I’m confident, will show them to others and then pass them along for further distribution.

The Center For Security Policy

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano came in for some well-deserved criticism for declaring over the weekend that "the system worked" with respect to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab's effort to blow up the plane he was flying from Amsterdam to Detroit. By Monday, she was backpedalling, acknowledging that "our system did not work in this instance."

12/28/09 Flight 253 and Counterterror’s Epic Fail

By Robert Spencer

An attempted jihad attack on Christmas Day has revealed that Americans are much more vulnerable to such attacks than most have believed – while government officials whistle in the dark. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the 23-year-old son of a wealthy Nigerian banker, tried to blow up Northwest Airlines Flight 253 just before it landed in Detroit. In response, Barack Obama chose not to cut short his golfing vacation in Hawaii; the White House announced that he would “likely” have something to say about this latest attempted jihad attack on U.S.

12/27/09 Terror Strikes Flight 253

On December 25, Umar Farouk Abdulmattab, a Nigerian-born Muslim attempted to detonate an explosive device in an act of terrorism on Northwest (Delta) Flight 253.  The transatlantic flight was approaching Detroit, en route from Amsterdam.

The terror suspect was burned severely by the hand-made explosive device, and subdued on board by passengers and crew members while a small fire was extinguished.  Two passengers also sustained burns from the device.

What importance has the recent Swiss referendum to ban the building of minarets (spires next to mosques from which the call to prayer is issued)?
